These are the latest plastic recycling prices for the UK. The prices detailed are ex works, (usually baled) & are in pounds per tonne. These prices are not guaranteed and are meant to be an indicator of market prices. They are compiled by letsrecycle.com.

Plastic Film Prices

These are the latest plastic film recycling prices for the UK.

UK PE Printed: 190 – 220

The price remained stable during September but dropped slightly in October 2014. It fell in January 2015 but rose in February. The price then remained stable till rising in May and June. Prices remain stable in July but fell in August and again in September. They remained stable until January 2016, when they fell. They were stable in February and March. The price increased in April but was stable in May.

UK PP Printed: 45 – 70

The price stayed pretty stable in 2014 up until a rise in June which was only partially dropped in October. The price fell in January 2015 but rose again in March, May and June. Prices remain stable in July  but fell in August and again in September. They remained stable until January 2016, when they fell. They were stable in February and March. The price increased in April but was stable in May.

UK Clear – Natural: 320 – 350

The price rose gradually from January to August 2014. It remained stable in August and September and then dropped in October. The price then remained stable till rising in May and again in June. They fell slightly in July, August and again in September. They remained stable until January 2016, when they fell. They were stable in February and March. The price increased in April but was stable in May.

Export 80:20: 45 – 65

The price rose between January and July 2014, except for a small drop in March. It remained stable between August and January 2015, then falling until April but rising in May and again in June. They remain stable in July but fell in August and again in September. They remained stable until January 2016, when they fell. They were stable in February. Prices increased in March, April and again in May

Export 90:10: 90 – 110

The price dropped slightly in October 2014, and then stayed stable until January 2015. It dropped in January but increased slightly in February. They remained stable until May, when they increased. They increased again in June but fell slight in July. The fell again in August and again in September. The top price rose in October but fell again in November. Prices fell in December, January and February. Prices increased again in March, April and May.

Export 95:5: 135 – 160

The price fell from September 2014 to January 2015.  It rose in February and then fell slightly in March, rising again in April. They remained stable until July, when they fell slightly. They fell again the August and again in September. They have remained stable in October but fell again in November, December, January and February. Prices increased again in March, April and May.

Export 98:2: 260 – 280

The price rose between January and July 2014 aside from a small drop in March. It remained stable from July to January 2015. It dropped in January and March, rising in February and April. They remained stable until July, when they fell slightly. They fell again the August and again in September. Prices rose again in October but fell in November, December and January. They were stable in February but increased in March, April and May.

Plastic Bottle Prices

Clear and light blue PET: 100 – 150

The price stayed stable from January to May 2014. It dropped in June, rising again in July and then dropping until January 2015. The price increased in February and March and then remaining stable until June, when it increased. The price fell again in July, August and September. Prices fell again in November. After that, they remained stable until January, when they fell. They were stable in February but increased again in March and April. The price was stable in May.

Coloured PET: 50 – 60

The price rose gradually between January and August 2014. It fell between August and September, remaining stable up until January 2015, when it dropped again. The price increased in February and March. It stayed stable until June, when it increased again. The price remained stable until August, when it fell. Prices continued to fall in September. After that, they remained stable until January, when they fell. They were stable in February but increased again in March and April. The price was stable in May.

HDPE natural: 300 – 340

The price increased in February 2015 and in April through to June. It then fell in July through to January. Prices were stable in February but increased again in March and April. The price was stable in May.

HDPE mixed colour: 130 – 150

The price rose  in February, April, May and June 2015. The price narrowed in July and fell in August and September. After that, they remained stable until January, when they fell. Prices were stable in February but increased in March and April. The price was stable in May.

Mixed: 50 – 120

The price was stable from January till March 2014 and then slowly rose through to October. Prices fell between October and January 2015 but rose again in February. The price then remained stable till rising in May. The price remained stable until August, when it fell. It continued to fall in September. After that, the price remained stable until January, when it fell. Prices were stable in February but increased in March and April. The price was stable in May.
